Board has been established to take the place of the Allahabad University in regulating and supervising the system of High School and Intermediate Examination in the state and to :

• Prescribe courses.

• Conduct of Examination spread over vast area involving remote rular areas.

• The attitudanal change and professional orientation of the staff  to keep pace with new technics and rising expectations.

• Mainteneance of accuracy and reliability of evaluation.

• Grant recognition to state High School and Intermediate classes.

• To conduct research in evaluation and curriculam framing.

• To make necessary arrangements of the prepration and publication of Text books of high school and intermediate.
